Audio
Convert recordings, trim a voice memo, match loudness, or turn speech into subtitles.
How to use it
- Select audio files in Finder and open the MacEase menu.
- Choose Convert or a compression preset. Trim… opens a range selector; Subtitles offers SRT, WebVTT, plain text, or translated SRT.
- Find the output beside the source. Set audio and subtitle defaults in Settings > Audio.
What you can do
- Convert
- MP3, M4A (AAC or ALAC), raw AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, Opus, or CAF (PCM or ALAC).
- Subtitles
- Transcribe to SRT, WebVTT, or plain text, or export translated SRT.
- Compress
- Bitrate presets or a Custom Size… target.
- Normalize Loudness
- Match a loudness target.
- Trim…
- Keep only the part you mark.
Support and limits
- M4A supports AAC or ALAC; CAF supports PCM or ALAC. AIFF-C input support depends on its codec. WMA is not supported.
- Speech transcription needs a supported, installed language asset. Translated subtitles also need the corresponding Translation model.
- Audio processing is local. macOS may need a network connection to obtain language assets.
Saving and Undo
Conversions and edits save a new file by default. Replace original verifies the result before moving the source to the Trash. Undo can skip files changed since the operation or originals no longer in the Trash.
