PDFs
Combine PDFs, extract just the pages you need, or turn a scan into text.
How to use it
- Select PDFs in Finder. For Merge, select at least two.
- Choose MacEase and an operation. Merge opens a page-order window; Extract Pages… asks which pages to keep.
- Save the result. Image exports can go into a folder or next to the PDF; text exports use OCR for scanned pages.
What you can do
- Merge
- Combine two or more PDFs in the order you choose.
- Export as Images
- PNG or JPEG pages in a folder or next to the PDF, or one multipage TIFF.
- Export as Text
- Save the text, using OCR for scanned PDFs.
- Compress
- Reduce the PDF file size.
- Rotate
- Turn every page.
- Extract Pages…
- Save the pages you pick as a new PDF.
- Split into Pages
- Save one PDF per page.
Support and limits
- Image exports support PNG, JPEG, and multipage TIFF. PDF rotation applies to every page.
- Exports and extracts always keep their sources. Compression savings vary with the document’s existing images and encoding.
- To build a PDF from images, select the images and choose Make PDF. Multiple images open the same page-order workflow.
Saving and Undo
Conversions and edits save a new file by default. Replace original verifies the result before moving the source to the Trash. Undo can skip files changed since the operation or originals no longer in the Trash.
